Thrust into the spotlight as mere teenagers with their entertaining debut album ‘Overgrown Eden’ in 2003 - the pressure to reproduce this early success, and subsequent failure to do so, would have seen lesser bands throw the towel in. But with the release of ‘ The Pride’, their fifth studio album, InMe are proving to be a stubborn bunch who simply refuse to go away. Great credit for this resoluteness must go to the fiercely loyal fan base the outfit have retained throughout their career - a factor frontman Dave McPherson acknowledges with this release via Pledge Music. This process of pledging money for various gifts helped finance McPherson’s debut solo album as well as generate money for charity and bring him closer to his fans. ‘The Pride’ follows suit with a portion of funds generated going towards Alzheimer’s Society. A worthy cause no doubt and in all actuality - a worthy album. Whereas ‘Phoenix -The Best Of InMe’ album, released in 2010, effectively reintroduced the band: this collection shows further evolution from those early heady days.  The lack of a stand out track however means ‘The Pride’ is unlikely to introduce a new generation of supporters - steadfast fans however can take great pride in this latest offering.
