dead2As chaotic live performances go, Dead Kids parcel bomb the place to tiny shards. They are an amalgamation of punk funk and satanic electro-dance-floor euphoria. The best live band on the scene at the minute, tearing stages up like Moses parting the Red Sea. They perform their slingshot corkers at you with surprisingly poignant messages from their lunatic, yet downright breath-taking front man.

Dead Kids reside from London and the band members have a back catalogue of impressive CV’s. Mike Frankel aka Mike Title the soon-to-be iconic parading frontman, emits more sexual intent than Mick Jagger in his prime. He struts onstage like a peacock and has the energy of a Duracell bunny he’ll even hump you if he gets his mitts on you. So now we’ve established that, his past saw him front Sona Fariq for some years but this seems to be his righteous place.

The linchpin is guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Keiron Pepper, the Prodigy’s drummer for the last seven years. Drummer Seb Thomson formerly of Trans Am, Weird War and Publicist are but a few to mention. Although they appear disjointed in design their sound melts together chaotically sublime with Mike Titles vigour sending an electric shock through it.

Dead Kids already boast an impressive catalogue of tunes, if someone opens their fuckin’ eyes and signs this band. They have the conspiracy epic ‘Fear and Fluoride’, the crowd embracing ‘Snakes’ and a merry-go-round of synth’s ‘Into the Fire’. ‘I Love America’ is where the place usually erupts and Title struts to his paramount best. The evidence is there, this album with guidance is ready for press.

Through the turbulent chaos that surrounds the Dead Kids (most notably Mike Title) the fact that there is intent and astuteness in their lyrics should not be ignored. Mike Title is like a wide eyed devils child, but if he’s the devil, take me to hell I want party. A redefining of a party generation is at your disposal, you’ve just got to get out and see them. Dead Kids are the Hacienda of bands!
