Free MP3: The Rosie Taylor Project - 'The Last Happy Writer'

The Rosie Taylor Project came together in a redbrick Victorian shambles in Leeds. Amodest beginning, with practices spent squished into a small living room, things
soon took on a more disciplined hue when, after a handful of gigs, they signed to
Bad Sneakers Records. Shortly after a debut album 'This City Draws Maps' appeared
receiving kind words from the likes of Drowned in Sound and This Is Fake DIY.
Singles lifted from this record featured regularly on MTV2 and benefited from radio
play on 6 Music, XFM, and KCRW in the US. In the meantime, live shows included
appearances with Camera Obscura, Midlake, Jens Lekman and Jeffrey Lewis to name but
a few. Marc Riley has also kindly hosted the band on his 6 Music show for a number
of live sessions.
Having recently returned to the studio a second album Twin Beds was recorded, and
new single 'Sleep' was released in the summer of 2011. 'Sleep' received air play
from Huw Stephens on Radio 1, Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 as well as support from a
number of 6 Music presenters.
