San Diego duo Crocodiles are pleased to announce a full UK tour this Autumn.

Brand new single Sleep Forever’ was released yesterday (July 5th) through Fat Possum records and is the perfect pre-cursor to the bands sophomore record due late summer.

The record picks up where the trippy organ drones of their debut ‘Summer of Hate’ left off and washes us into the Californian desert where it was made. With the help of producer James Ford (Klaxons/Arctic Monkeys) new single ‘Sleep Forever’ is best summed up as the euphoric, soaring anthem echoing the vast surroundings, distant horizon and Californian Sky.

Excited to play their new songs live as much as they are to release them, Crocodiles will play the following shows in the UK:

Catch the guys live throughout the UK- dates below:

Sept-29 Nottingham –  Bodega

Sept-30 Sheffield – Harley

Oct-01 Newcastle - Other Rooms

Oct-02 Glasgow – Captains Rest

Oct-03 Leeds –  Brudenell Social Club

Oct-04 Manchester –  Deaf Institute

Oct-05 London –  Hoxton Bar & Kitchen

Oct-06 Cambridge –  Haymaker

Oct-07 Brighton – Audio

Employing the adroitness of super producer James Ford (one half of Simian Mobile Disco) on their latest single seems to have transformed Crocodiles fortunes somewhat – their sounds sumptuous zealous dreamy production boasts a new fangled sheen. As the organs swell it’s cerebral layers intoxicate like mustard gas seeping through you air conditioning vents. ‘Sleep Forever’ is a distant fuzz-pop brain freeze, constant in its stream of jagged shoegaze. And with Brandon Welchez’s vocals hovering about the multitude of layers it goes someway to regaining some order to Crocodiles classroom even if he does sound a little like The Charlatans headmaster Tim Burgess along the way. Ultimately ‘Sleep Forever’ cascades beautifully into our lives and provides a timely reminder that this is a welcome return since their Christmas released 7-inch with Dum Dum Girls.
