Everyone’s favourite Mackem indie mainstreamers are back with this, their fourth studio album ‘The Chaos’. They, as ever exhibit wizardly tight angular guitar ethics, frantic head-sticking chorus’ and thoroughly stoutly songs. Lead single ‘Heartbeat Song lays down to bear a dynamic chorus and the pop-punk licks that saw their self-titled debut album reach much heightened acclaim. Barry Hyde’s men haven’t relinquished any of their zealous vigour either, their pocket-sized sub three minute vehicles are as hasty as ever. The bulk sounds either familiar from the Futureheads back catalogue or other obscure racuous trouabdours; ‘The Connector’s chorus pick pockets Adam Ant in broad daylight and the intro of ‘The Chaos’ sounds like its been ripped from Brighton odd balls Breaks’ song sheet. Bursting with countless exhilarating pop nuggets, ‘The Chaos’ is another triumph for the Futureheads – Breakneck brilliance!

tfnLine Up Including – The Futureheads, Field Music, Frankie & the Heartstrings & many more
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls – it has come to our attention frequently over the past month or so that we may have set the ticket price for the event a bit too high. So many people know about Split as the North East’s first music festival of its kind but the general buzz is that it’s a bit too pricey. OK everybody, point taken, we put our hands up in the air and say ‘we agree!’ The public have spoken and this is our response. We are reducing the online ticket price to £12 on the nose. These specially priced tickets are only available online and have limited availability so go to www.seetickets.com or follow the link on www.splitfestival.com to buy your newly priced ticket now!

Our City needs to have its own festival – the music scene is screaming out for it. If we can make this event the success it deserves to be then we will lay the foundations for an annual autumnal shindig that will bring people to our fine citadel from all over the country. Howay Sunderland, let’s do this!
If you have already bought a ticket, and are feeling a little miffed, don’t worry. All original ticket holders will receive reimbursement in the form of food and drink tokens to be used at the festival (this means BEER!) if they let the organisers at Ashbrooke Sports Club know when you turn up on the day. (They have a list of all who have already bought tickets, so be honest!!)
Feel free to contact us if you have any further queries at info@splitfestival.com
So just to repeat – limited tickets now available priced £12 athttp://www.seetickets.com or follow the link at www.splitfestival.com
