Microphone brand Røde has just launched their latest microphone, the Lavalier II. It comes as the successor to the Røde Lavalier, the brand’s well-known lavalier mic that was first introduced around 2010.
Unlike its predecessor, the Lavalier II has a newer, more low-profile design. It has a compact mounting clip and a flat cable. It utilizes a 3.5mm TRS locking connector to use with standard lockable TRS sockets and professional wireless microphone systems. The Lavalier II can be paired with the Rode Wireless GO, Rode AI-Micro, and other audio devices.
Rode also claims that the new microphone has “broadcast-grade sound quality”, employing an omnidirectional polar pattern together with flat frequency response. A pop filter, furry windshield, mic clip, colored ID rings, and a zip case are all included with the Lavalier II. The Rode Lavalier II is priced at USD 99 and can be pre-ordered through Rode’s website.
