Sony Launches New MDR-MV1 Headphones and C-80 Microphone in the Philippines
Sony has created new gear designed for professional sound engineers and creators — the MDR-MV1 headphones and C-80 microphone. As per the company, these new headphones and microphones are reference-grade and are equipped for Spatial Sound Creation, mixing, and mastering.
The two new products were initially announced in April and have finally come to fruition this June as Sony launches both the MDR-MV1 headphones and C-80 microphone in the Philippines. After a long and meticulous preparation from Sony’s end, the company was able to produce products that are high-quality while maintaining accessibility.
Starting off with the MDR-MV1, the headphones provide long-lasting comfort with their lightweight, soft, and open-back design. It also has fitted breathable earpads that can securely position itself to the user’s ears.
The entire design also helps with an accurate reproduction of a wide sound field and stereo sound with ultra-wideband playback at 5Hz to 80 kHz. With its resolution capability, the MDR-MV1 headphones also have 360 Reality Audio, offering an extending spatial sound reproducibility.
“This makes it easier for professionals to capture localization spaciousness and detailed changes in sound processing. The open-back structure of the headphones reduces internally reflected sounds and eliminates acoustic resonances while accurately reproducing natural, rich spatial information and sounds. These robust features support their use in professional mixing and mastering environments while accommodating audio engineers’ highest standards.”, claims Sony.
The C-80 is a packed and versatile microphone. It can be used in both home and professional studios for voice and vocal recording, instrumentals, content creation, and podcasting. Its design and features help create an impressive noise-elimination construction to help users achieve studio-quality recordings that have low noise and clear sound.
For added stability when conducting vocal recordings, the C-80 microphone also has a dual diaphragm configuration, which helps in minimizing sonic changes and proximity effects from occurring.
Currently, these products are available in Sony-authorized stores in the Philippines. The Sony MDR-MV1 is priced at PHP 23,999 while the Sony C-80 stands at PHP 34,999.
