Audix Unveils a Fresh Dynamic Studio Microphone

Share

Audix, headquartered in Oregon, is a division of Videndum Media Solutions and has introduced a professional dynamic studio microphone poised to find its place in radio studios.

The PDX720 Signature Edition, boasting a hypercardioid pattern, is lauded for its excellence in capturing music vocals, spoken word applications, and drum and instrument recording. Its versatile applications span voiceovers, professional podcasting, and high-end home studios.

Audix proudly claims, “The microphone’s sound signature draws from Audix’s unique ability to deliver natural, velvety vocals with remarkable low-end extension, all without the need for active filtering.”

Notably, this microphone’s default gain level eliminates the necessity for preamp boosts or cloud lifters. It incorporates two three-position switches, allowing users to tailor the sound by adjusting the low-cut and presence boost.

Audix also emphasizes its capacity to deliver “warm low-end tones and crystal-clear, well-defined highs that provide exceptional clarity without any harshness.” Crafted from aluminum and adorned with a black and gold finish, this microphone is available for purchase at $799.
