Share

In the ever-evolving world of audio equipment, Monoprice has made a significant stride forward with the unveiling of their latest creation: a vintage-themed studio microphone preamp. Retailing at $599, The Stage Right Studio 2-Channel 1073-Style Microphone Preamp offers a vintage feel, with transformer‑balanced inputs and outputs using two optimized transformers, each optimized for its purpose.

These classic characteristics have been heard on countless recordings throughout the years, and remain to be a versatile sound that works well on most sound sources and in most musical genres.

In addition to this, the mic preamp comes with the following features:

  • Two independent channels
  • Completely discrete component signal path
  • One high‑impedance instrument input for any sound module, electric guitar, bass
  • Up to 80dB gain capable of handling passive ribbon mics with quiet sound sources
  • Combination XLR/TRS input jack and separate output XLR and TRS jacks for flexible connections.

As of this writing, units are currently out of stock, but you can click to be notified when a restock happens. To learn more, check out their official release here.
