RØDE Creates the Wireless PRO Compact Microphone System Designed for Filmmakers and Content Creators

A step up from their already impressive pocket-sized wireless ME microphone system, RØDE launches the Wireless PRO Compact Microphone System that is designed for filmmakers and content creators.

The Wireless PRO is the latest creation of the Australian company that will join their product line of compact wireless microphone systems. Albeit, more advanced and professional than its predecessors such as the hugely popular Wireless GO II and Wireless ME.

RØDE Creates the Wireless PRO Compact Microphone System Designed for Filmmakers and Content Creators

Looking to target professionals who would like to further enhance and improve their craft of journalism, content creation, and filmmaking, RØDE has equipped the Wireless PRO with several features for more control over audio capture:

  • A 2.4 GHz wireless digital transmission with 128-bit encryption for near-zero latency and interference-free audio out to 260m.850 ft.
  • An audio backup feature that allows individuals to have 32 GB worth of onboard storage should there be a wireless signal dropout.
  • A 32-bit float on-board recording feature that will allow individuals to capture large dynamic range without chances of it having any audio clippings.
  • User-friendly audio sync capabilities during post-production due to its advanced timecode feature.
  • A GainAssist feature so the mic system can automatically manage the optimum output levels.
  • A locking feature that will prevent 3.55 mm Lavalier connectors from disconnecting while recording.
  • Level control that has professional high-impedance headphone output capability.
  • 7 hours battery life on each model with 2 additional charges in the charging case for longer recording sessions.
  • New inclusions in the accessory kit upon purchase: charge case, two Lavalier II microphones, furry windshields, cables, magnetic mounting clips, and an accessory case.

Aside from these features, the Wireless PRO Compact Microphone System itself has one receiver and two transmitters. This allows the Wireless Pro to source sound from either in-built mics or Lav mics via the 3.5 mm TRS inputs. For versatility, the Wireless Pro has a receiver that can route the audio streams to either a camera, smartphone, or computer via USB-C or a 3.5 mm cable.

The RØDE Wireless Pro is now available for purchase at a starting price of $399. For more information, you can check out their website.
